Getting Back To Life

[Silver-Tongue]

Silver walked into Riverwood and looked around. It was a small settlement with not a lot of people. One of the locals walked up to Silver and asked what he was doing here, to which Silver replied, "I have a home here waiting for me. A dead relative sent me the deed." Silver handed the deed to the man. He nodded and pointed Silver in the right direction, gave back the deed, and then walked off. Silver walked past the log mill and saw a small house sitting by the water. "Not what I'm used to living in, but it'll do." Everywhere Silver went, something interesting always happened, and it was a matter of time before something happened in this small settlement.

[Kaij]

Kaij watched the Argonian walking towards the abandoned house. He and his gang were planning to move in and use it as a base of operations. They'd already stashed some of thier skooma supply in the place, and they weren't about to give it up. He followed the Argonian, keeping a few steps away, his hood drawn around his face.

[Silver-Tongue]

Silver stopped in front of the old shack and looked around. A well sat close to the door and a chopping block was on the left side of the house. He then moved inside of the house. Inside was just as old and rickety as the outside looked. There were signs of recent activity which was odd considering that no one should have been here for a VERY long time. This shack was actually here before riverwood was built. "This is an odd turn of events."

[Kaij]

Kaij slowly slid in behind this intruder.
"Ai, friend. It is odd indeed."
He closed the door behind him, "I'm assuming you are here because you own this piece of property?"

[Silver-Tongue]

"I do now." Silver kept his hand on his dagger at his waist. "Who exactly might you be?"

[Kaij]

Kaij moved his cloak aside, revealing the crossbow he had hidden under it.
"I am a concerned member of the public. Obviously this place isn't up to code and could burn down any minute. With you in it. So I'd suggest dropping that."

[Silver-Tongue]

Back in the day, Silver could simply drop his status and people would just back off. But no one has ever heard of the blades in a very very long time. Silver took his hand away from the dagger. "I'll keep my hands away, but I'm not dropping it."

[Kaij]

"Good, killing is bad for business. Just stay out of the way."
A Breton and a Dark Elf entered the house.
"Eh, and who moight this 'ere be?"
Kaji looked at the Breton, "This is the owner of this place. Get our stash and let's go. We don't have all day."
The two behind him nodded and moved to a corner of the house, and removed some floor boards.
"Stay calm and you might even benefit from this, Argonian."

[Silver-Tongue]

"Calm is no problem." Once being part of the blades, Silver felt the urge to uphold the law. But without his custom enchanted blades katana, he could no longer do it. Especially not with a puny dagger. "How in Oblivion am I supposed to benefit from a bunch of low life junk?"

[Kaij]

"I'll admit, this operation isn't all it could be. But we have coin, which we'll give you if you keep your mouth shut."
Kaij looked at the other two, "What's the hold up? Let's go."

[Silver-Tongue]

"Keep my mouth shut? That musty be a hefty coin purse you have then." Silver held out his hand. "It should make my hand drop a bit when you put it in my hand."

[Kaij]

"Ah ha. Maybe it'd be cheaper to kill you,"
Kaij smiled, "No, I kid. How's 100 septims?"

[Silver-Tongue]

"100?" Silver was used to getting much more pay for things like this. But times have changed. Things are cheaper and pay is less. Even if it is a bribe. "I guess that'll do." Silver still felt a little odd taking bribes like this, but he needed the money. Do something bad for the profit of his own well being.

[Kaij]

"Ah, at least you're reasonable."
Kaij grabbed his coin purse and handed it to Silver.
"We got it. Let's go before-"
The Breton was cut off by the door being kicked in by the Riverwood guard.
"Everyone here's under arrest for larceny, robbery, theft, murder and criminal tresspass. Also-"
Kaij cut him off, "Isn't larceny and theft the same thing?"
"Shut up, cat. You're all going to the dungeons," the guard drew his blade.

[Silver-Tongue]

"Not again to the prisons..." Silver dropped the coin purse. "I have nothing to do with this! These guys came in here and started threatening my life! Take them away!"

[Kaij]

"A likely story. We saw you taking money from these scum."
The guard stepped aside, "Get moving."
Kaij and his friends exited the house, "At least we get to eat. And the cells are dry."
"Shut up, cat," the guard looked at Silver, "Get going."

[Silver-Tongue]

Silver shrugged. Whenever he was sent to jail something always got him out. Who knows, maybe this 'new friend' would be able to pick the lock he seemed like the type. Silver followed Kaij out of the house.

[Kaij]

"Hey, steel-hat. Let's pass the time with a song,"
Kaij and the others sat on a wagon going to Whiterun. The eather was bad, the sky looking like night even though it was mid-afternoon, Rain hadn't started falling, but thunder could be heard in the distance.
"I have a good one!"
The guard turned, "Shut. Up."

[Silver-Tongue]

Silver smiled. "There once was a hero named Ragnar the Red."

[Kaij]

"Who came riding to Whiterun from old Roriksteaaad!"
"Argh! Shut up back there," The guard seemed agitated.

[Silver-Tongue]

"The braggart did swagger and brandish his blade as he told of bold stories and gold he had maaaade." Silver poked the back of the guards head a couple of times. "Come on, sing along."

[Kaij]

"But silent he went, did Ragnar the Red, when he met the shield-maiden Matilda who saaiid!"
Kaij smiled, "He's right! Join the fun!"
The Breton snickered, the Dunmer shook his head.

[Silver-Tongue]

"You talk and you lie and you drink all our mead, so I think it's high time that you lie down and-" Silver jumped up and wrapped his bound arms around the guard and threw him off of the cart. "Bleed!" He then jumped onto the horse and made it run as fast as it could with the cart attached.

[Kaij]

"You beat me to the punch, friend. The only problem now is if they catch us, we'll be put to the block."
He held on to the cart, as did the others.
"I think that would have happened anyway, though. If you turn right at that tree, we can get to one of our base camps."

[Silver-Tongue]

Silver manoeuvred the cart around the tree. "I hope it's a little farther, cause they probably saw us head this way."
